Egypt Map and Geography of Egypt

Egypt straddles Africa and Asia and is often seen as the stepping stone between the West and the Middle East. Situated in North Africa, Egypt is bordered by Libya to the west, Sudan to the south and Israel and the Gaza Strip to the east.

The northern coast is formed by the Mediterranean, providing beautiful white beaches and Mediterranean influence evident in the cosmopolitan people, lifestyle and architecture.

The Nile Valley cuts a lush swathe through the otherwise barren country and is home to 99 per cent of Egypt's population.
